The Microsoft Teams Rooms app should signing in to Microsoft Teams or Skype for Business Server with the credentials entered above, and should also begin syncing its calendar with Exchange using those same credentials. Microsoft Teams Rooms relies on the presence of certified console hardware.
Even a correctly created image containing the Microsoft Teams Rooms console app will not boot past the initial setup procedure unless the console hardware is detected. For Surface Pro based solutions, the Surface Pro must be connected to its accompanying dock hardware to pass this check. Some non-English language users may need a physical keyboard connected to the console during initial setup in the event that symbols are not supported on the touch keyboard.
Microsoft Teams Rooms needs to trust the certificates used by the servers it connects to. In a case where the Certificate Authority is private, for instance an on-premises deployment with Active Directory and the Windows Certificate Authority, you can add the certificate to Microsoft Teams Rooms in a couple of ways:. You can join the console to Active Directory and that will automatically add the required certificates given the Certificate Authority is published to Active Directory normal deployment option.
You can install the certificate manually after the imaging process. Before you do this, you must complete Initial set up of the console. Place the console in admin mode see Admin mode and device management. You can join Microsoft Teams Rooms to your domain. A common example is a password enforcement policy that will prevent Microsoft Teams Rooms from starting up automatically. A dialog opens, confirming that the package is from a trusted source. Additionally, it shows you the information about the changes that will be made to the system. Note: If you install a provisioning package on a device which is already in use, but not enrolled in Intune, it does not reset the system.
Windows applies the new settings, renames the computer, and joins the device to Azure AD, if specified. Furthermore, enrollment accounts used by the provisioning process do not assign a primary user for the device. The only way to enroll a new Teams Rooms device during setup is to use a provisioning package. You can use the package we built in our example and copy it to a USB drive in the root folder.
Setup will find the file and will continue with the enrollment. For more information, see Apply a provisioning package. Important: Windows Autopilot enrollment is not supported for Teams Rooms devices. If you have completed a new installation or have enrolled an existing device with a provisioning package, the User Account Control dialog will not show the local Administrator account anymore in your Teams Rooms settings.

One additional question: Have you ever worked on a DIY Teams Panel as in: the thing outside of the room, that simply displays the current status as well?
